Avoid taking multiple doses of food supplements, follow guidelines by RDA

Certain people need to take additional energy in the form of specific supplements, foot, dietary or nutritional supplements, but they are not a substitute for a balanced healthy diet.

It is very important to maintain a healthy and a balanced diet. If you are not sure about the food supplements in your diet, ask your medical doctor or consult a dietitian.

A good health diet that consists of eating fruits and vegetables, enough good protein, whole grains and healthy fats.

Food supplements give nutrients to people who don’t consume it enough through their regular diet. Food supplements are usually in the form of pills, powders, tablets, capsules, or liquids. Food supplements give additional doses (to maintain daily need) of minerals, vitamins, good acids, amino acids, good fats, and other.

It is possible to use higher dose. When taken more than recommended, some substances can lead to unwanted effects, with harmful consequences. That is why supplements can only be legally sold. Appropriate daily dose has to be labeled. The products must note the dose that should not be exceeded.
If you have been prescribed a supplement, you should consult your medical doctor before taking something on your own. Also, your doctor will certainly ask you if you are consuming any. If it happens that they don’t, make sure to tell them all about your diet, and generally about your health.
