DiaMedica Announces Proposed Public Offering of Common Shares

MINNEAPOLIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–DiaMedica Therapeutics Inc. (Nasdaq: DMAC), a clinical-stage biotechnology company, announced today that it intends to offer and sell its common shares in an underwritten public offering. In addition, DiaMedica intends to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15% of the common shares offered in the public offering. All of the common shares will be offered by DiaMedica. The offering is subject to market conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering.

DiaMedica intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to continue its clinical and product development activities, including the addition of a new cohort III to its REDUX study to be comprised of participants with Type II diabetes mellitus with chronic kidney disease, hypertension and albunuria, and for other working capital and general corporate purposes.

Guggenheim Securities, LLC is acting as lead book-running manager for the offering. Craig-Hallum Capital Group LLC is acting as joint book-running manager.
